Purcellville Blog: Partners Club hosts 9th Annual Ball

Celebrating their ninth annual Partners Club Ball, over 200 students and alumni “danced the night away” March 3 at Loudoun Valley High School.

The group included students from high schools all over Loudoun County who worked hard to make sure everyone had a “memorable evening,” said Cynthia Clark, event organizer and faculty member at Loudoun Valley.

Mackenzie Smyth, a Partners Club member from Loudoun Valley, said “seeing all the dancers so happy and involved was really awesome. I was inspired by how everyone felt free to be themselves.”

“It was a night of old and new friends, high school alumni and current students, coming together to listen to great tunes and dance,” said Clark.

Over 80 staff and family members also came out to support the event.

Partners Club promotes friendship and social outings between special needs and non-special needs peers.

“This is such a special event. I especially enjoy seeing alumni come back, and watching students break down stereotypes and labels, and just enjoy each other’s company,” Clark said.
