Purcellville Blog: Wheatland Farm’s ‘Dinner at Downton Abbey’ set for Sept. 30

Wheatland Farm has announced its 11th Annual Gala will be held Sept. 30, with the theme “Dinner at Downton Abbey.”

Executive Director Muriel Forrest said the event will raise funds to support the new United States Para Equestrian Dressage Team training programs, as well as Wheatland’s existing programs, including therapeutic riding, adaptive aquatics and solution-oriented services for adults and children with special needs.

Guests of honor at the gala will include Murray Kessler, president of the United States Equestrian Federation, and Hope Hand, United States Para Equestrian Association president.

The event will be held in conjunction with the opening of Wheatland’s new 150-by-250-foot competition outdoor arena, developed by Bramhall and designed by Attwood Equestrian Surfaces. It will feature a full competition dressage ring, jumping ring and warm-up area for the training of U.S. Paralympic Dressage equestrians and Wheatland Farm’s students.

Wheatland Farm is located on Berlin Turnpike in Purcellville. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available at wheatlandfarm.org.
