Loudoun County Public Schools will hold a community information meeting to review the proposed Dulles South high school (HS-7) and a future elementary school at 6:30 p.m. April 29 in the Mercer Middle School auditorium. The school is at 42149 Greenstone Drive in Aldie.
The purpose of the meeting is to share information with the surrounding community on the proposed schools.
The proposed schools would be on 97 acres south of Route 50, north of Route 620/Braddock Road and on both sides of Goshen Road on the west side of Stone Ridge.
The design capacity for the high school is 1,800 students; 875 for the elementary school.
The high school is planned to open for the 2012-2013 school year. This school is included in the School Board’s adopted fiscal 2011-2016 Capital Improvements Program. A specific elementary school has not been identified for the site, but will be determined later as part of future CIP review.
