Dulles District does more with less

The Dulles District qualified five out of a possible 14 boys’ and girls’ teams for the Region II basketball tournaments. Meanwhile, the Northwestern District was represented by eight teams, even though only 10 combined boys’ and girls’ squads make up the district.

Despite making up just 21 percent of the tournament field, the Dulles District claimed two of a possible four region championships and led all four districts in the region with seven victories.

Led by Potomac Falls’ boys and Freedom’s girls winning regional championships, the Dulles District posted a 7-3 record in tournament games with two of those three losses coming against fellow Dulles opponents.
