You are not going to want to miss The Awakening with Matt Sorger. Matt is a prophetic revivalist who travels throughout America and the nations bringing a fresh word and a fresh impartation of God’s Spirit through national conferences, prophetic healing revival services and international miracle crusades. He also hosts pastors’ and leaders’ conferences throughout the nations to help train and equip leaders in the power of the Holy Spirit. Matt carries a strong healing and miracle anointing with many instantly healed in his meetings. His ministry is also used to help spread the fires of revival and ignite a fresh passion in the hearts of believers to go deeper in their relationship with God.

Matt’s passion is to see the presence and power of the Holy Spirit transform and change peoples’ lives. He also places great emphasis on the practical preaching and teaching of God’s word, bringing a great balance between authentic, supernatural encounter and solid biblical truth. Turn at the flashing yellow lights just past the Purcellville Family Restaurant, going west, or just past the Purcellville Mobil station, going east. The church is the first building on the left past the old train station. There is parking at the front and rear of the church. Photo courtesy King of Kings Worship Center.

Greetings from the Senior Pastor, Mike Legg

We are living in exciting times. I sense that God is wanting His church to be awakened more deeply to the destiny He has for each of their lives and as a pastor, I am responsible to equipment them to step into their purpose in His kingdom here on earth, not just to go to church but to step outside the walls of the church and to minister to the lost in the regions He has us in. There are many ways to accomplish this. One method is to allow men and women to come into our region to plant the seeds that God has given them to plant and then allow God to water those seeds as we grow in what we are taught.

At King of Kings Worship Center we want to see seeds planted and crops produced. Matt Sorger, a revivalist and mighty young man, is coming for just that purpose. I first met Matt five years ago when he came to minister at our church. We were in the process of changing pastors at the church and God used Matt mightily to pass the pastoral mantle from Pastor Jimmy Vaught to myself. God has done so much in and through the church since that time and I know that we are going to experience life changing ministry the three days Matt is here. The key is to be open and expectant of what God wants to do in each one of us. When He moves or speaks to us or even heals us in a service, we receive what He has done and are to run with it.

We are open to what God wants to do in this region. King of Kings Worship Center is a place of refreshing where we desire to create a habitation for God’s presence. We believe in building an intimacy with God through teaching His Word, Praise and Worship and through seeking Him until His Glory manifests and we are changed. We are a servant church who encourages everyone to enter into the destiny that God has created them to fulfill.

We have a Sunday morning service at 10:30 am beginning with intense worship and then the sharing of His Word. We have Wednesday night prayer at 7:00 pm and we have a Community Praise, Worship, and Soaking Service on Friday evenings at 7:30 pm. Loudoun County is considered to be one of the fastest growing counties in the nation and an instrumental component of the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. Some church leaders believe transformation in the Body of Christ within Loudoun County will be a major catalyst in what ministers and layman alike anticipate will gradually lead to the long awaited revival in the Mid Atlantic region. Comments

Mark thanks for such a great article and for sharing Matt’s visit and his giftings from God that are an outreach to those who are hurting to receive His love and provision He made at the cross for us to be completely healed not only physically but also spiritually.

It is interesting that only 2 people in the same family or married homosexuals made comments
which in themselves were ignorant. “hate crimes” in this country is such a misunderstood subject.
Do we call it that when women or young girls are brutally beaten and raped then killed for some
perverts’ own fantasy/needs. No it is called murder, rape, assault. But the special ‘label’ for a lifestyle choice that God does say is sin is now a hate crime. Murder, rape etc are also sin and Matt Sorger would say the same.

The legitimizing of sin in ones mind or nation does not change what it is before a Holy God and none of us will escape answering to Him when we die. Calling sin a sin is actually brave and an act of love, because if one didn’t know their own forgiveness experience encounter with this amazing God and Savior Jesus Christ, one would not be so compassionate to tell others. We have all done it in some form or manner, some perhaps ‘worse’ than others but it is all the same to Him, no distinction and none of it can be ignored.

Sad that one feels so comfortable and needs to justify their sin instead of crying out to Him (Jesus Christ) to forgive them, to help them, to deliver them which is Who He is. There are those who have been instantly healed, instantly delivered from the homosexual lifestyle, from drugs, cigarettes (me),from living with someone we are not married to, lying, stealing etc. He Loves Us, Created Us and will Heal Us IF we turn to Him. Anti-gay activism is not sin, it is standing up for what is right in the face of ridicule, the same as the ProLife stand. So Jonathan, you are right a Godly intervention is necessary and you are in need of one with this Holy God who loves you, he hates all of our sin but loves us and wants us to turn to Him. I pray that you do and you let go of ‘your right’ and your offenses to allow Him to love you and heal you.

“Tattooed across his sternum are military dog tags that read “Joel’s Army.” They’re evidence of Bentley’s generalship in a rapidly growing apocalyptic movement that’s gone largely unnoticed by watchdogs of the theocratic right. According to Bentley and a handful of other “hyper-charismatic” preachers advancing the same agenda, Joel’s Army is prophesied to become an Armageddon-ready military force of young people with a divine mandate to physically impose Christian “dominion” on non-believers.”

This is mass psychosis. Shame on you if you were aware of this man’s connection to this anti-American movement. You are better than this.

Mark,

According to Sorger’s bio, he was a coordinator for “The Call” New York.  The Call is listed by the SPLC as a hate group.

If you were not aware of this Mark, I hope you take this information to heart and do the needful.

Mark,

Why do you continue to promote anti-gay political activists masquerading as Christians.  Matt Sorger’s web site includes a link to Lou Engle’s “The Call”, a hate group, and Sorger himself took issue with the fact that GLBT people are Americans.  Here is what Sorger said:

“November 2008 - My Committment to the Body of Christ In Light of the Elections
As I sit here and watch the results of our election on the news, I am hearing it said by the newscasters that “a conservative era is over.” As I watch Mr. Obama’s acceptance speech and hear him say that all Americans are one, including both gay and straight Americans (using those words exactly) I am deeply concerned in my heart for the direction our nation has just turned in. One thing is true, change is coming, but only time will tell what exactly that change will be. Don’t misunderstand me. I love everyone. But I cannot endorse sin as a legitimate lifestyle and choice.”

Why would you bring a person to this county to divide people and claim they are not one?  Cannot endorse sin Matt?  You’d better start repenting.  Anti-gay activism is sin.  Don’t get me wrong, I love everyone too, but I can’t endorse the sin either. A Godly intervention may be in order.
