photo

The 2nd Annual Summer Gospel Explosion Concert is coming to the Franklin Park Performing Arts Center in Purcellville, VA on Saturday, August 7th with the doors opening at 6:30 pm. Concert starts at 7:00 pm.

Following the success of last year’s sold out concert; this year’s program will feature two new groups, including the well-known and hugely popular local group “4tified”.  Also joining the program is a winner of last year’s “all category” regional champions in the “How Sweet the Sound” national gospel competition, the “Anointed Voices” of Ford Memorial Temple in Philadelphia.

Returning to the stage will be the 40-voice “Combined Adult Choir” of Heritage Fellowship Church in Herndon and “Heavenly”, the praise team from Leesburg, who brought the audience to their feet last year. A special guest performer will be the well- known soloist, Juanita Williams from Providence Baptist Church in Leesburg.

Tickets are $20 at the door or can be reserved in advance by calling the concert Music Director, Dion Jergo at 540.454.1868 or Franklin Park Performance & Visual Arts Center 540.338.7973. Proceeds of the concert will benefit the continued renovation of the historic Mt. Zion Methodist Church founded in 1881 in Hamilton, VA.
