Players on the Potomac at Camp Rock
    They are back in action after last summer’s performance of You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown that was met with rave reviews by those who were fortunate enough to see it.  I had an opportunity myself and it was very entertaining and well done in every respect: costumes, acting, music, staging.  What’s even more impressive is the cast made up entirely of teenagers and “ tweens”. 
    This summer the Players will be doing Camp Rock, the Musical.  Once again the teens and tweens comprise the cast.  The performance is directed by Belmont Ridge Middle School 7th grade teacher and musical director, Jason Augostowski.  You can set your calendars for Thursday, August 23; Friday, August 24 or Saturday, August 25 at the amphitheater at the Potomac Club in Lansdowne.  If you buy a ticket in advance the price is $7.00; at the door $8.00.  The performances will all start at 7:00 PM.
    Refreshments and snacks will be available for modest prices but please remember to bring lawn chairs or other seating to the Potomac Club. 
    In the event of rainy weather an alternate location has been selected: The Christ Community Church in Ashburn.  Best check the Web site: http://www.PlayersOnThePotomac.org prior to each performance to make certain of the venue.  Also advance tickets can be purchased by accessing the same site.
