The Brambleton Summer Kick-Off Party is one event the kids really look forward to attending. What better way to celebrate the end of the school year than poolside with all your close friends, enjoying music, contests, food and waterslides. Despite the clouds and sporadic sprinkles, the turnout was pretty big. The Bettas Swim Team hosted Dollar Dunks, where parents of swim team members volunteered themselves to get dunked in a tank full of water. For one dollar, you were given three chances to throw the ball. The Bettas also sold hot dogs, snacks and candy in an effort to raise funds for the team. Great Kids Camps sold cotton candy for a dollar and hosted a moon bounce for the smaller kids to enjoy. Town Center gift certificates were awarded to winners of the cannonball and hula hoop contests. The weather held out for the duration of the Kick-Off event, but thunder ended the Teen Night party only after an hour.
