One of the great boons from the increased diversity in Loudoun is the variety among our local restaurants. Even so, it pays to recognize Loudoun’s first Chinese restaurant, China King.
It was founded in Leesburg in 1972 (it’s their 40th anniversary this year) and has been operated by the Whang family since 1989.
If there are not a great number of Asian restaurants in Leesburg, it’s because China King does such a nice job.
Service remains quick, adding some truth for you when you tell someone you’re running out for a fast lunch. And the food is particularly tasty too – without the greasy or oily taste more common in restaurants less particular about their ingredients.
Their South King Street location is comfortable for lunch or dinner, but its relatively small size may mean you have a wait on particularly busy days.
