    Travinia Italian Kitchen

I am a sucker for any type of Italian food. I remember taking trips to Baltimore for Orioles baseball with my family growing up and we always went to Little Italy for lunch or dinner.

I am not even Italian, but it's definitely one of my favorite styles of food.

I had been wanting to try this new place since I saw it was open while going to Firebirds for lunch one day.

There is a vast menu to choose from and you can't help but enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.

The dining room is lit perfectly, the service is good and you really have a feeling of relaxation while you're there.

I decided to choose the linguine and white wine clam sauce, although it was a struggle to find just one dish to order. It was delightful to say the least.
The creamy pasta and large amount of clams accompanying it were a perfect mix.

The dish also had a spicy zing to it, which was an unexpected surprise.

I have to admit, I typically do not order spicy foods, unless I have a urge to do so. Even when I do go spicy, I never order something above mild spicy.
For most people, I would say the spiciness of the dish would range about a three or four on a 10 scale.

Despite its spiciness, I was happy with my choice and the best part is it wasn't too expensive, either.

Travinia was established in South Carolina in 2002. There are now five locations in South Carolina and one in both North Carolina and Virginia. New Virginia locations in Woodbridge, Charlottesville and Stafford are scheduled to open later this year.
