Just one display a month

The displays on the courthouse lawn remind me of the billboards driving down the interstate. I would like to suggest that the Board of Supervisors make the following changes.

Number one, have only one area on the lawn where the displays, banners, signs and artwork can be displayed. To do this have just one display on this designated site for one month. The month of December, the nativity scene would use this site since this is the month we celebrate the birth of Jesus. All others can have their month to display their message.

Second, all displays, banners, signs and artwork should be ground-mounted and should not be higher or project over the top of the courthouse fence so as to block the view of the historical Loudoun County courthouse.

Finally, all displays, banners and artwork should refrain from displaying the names of any group, organization or religion and should not solicit monies or recruit people for membership.
