Leesburg band Trash Talk took second place among the Virginia (Herndon, Lansdowne, McLean, South Riding) Bach2Rock schools at B2R’s Sixth Battle of the Bands held June 12 at the 930 Club in Washington, D.C.

Trash Talk attends the Lansdowne B2R location and is made up of Leesburg 12- and 13-year-olds.

For the win, the band played the Foo Fighters’ song “The Pretender” and an original single titled “Gone So Far.” Part of their prize was studio time to put their original song on CD for release.

This was Trash Talk’s first public appearance since appearing at the Leesburg Rust Library Battle of the Bands in May, and their first B2R Battle of the Bands performance and win.

See below for a video of the band playing “Gone So Far” at the Battle of the Bands June 12.

Eddie looks wonderful, did not know we have a famous musician in the family!!  Count me in as far as the CD is concerned.  Love, Janet

We’re so proud! Can we count on a signed copy of the CD when it comes out? Hope we can hear you in person very soon - love V&R from Richmond!

Go Eddie! He’s even famous in Australia.
Alex from Sydney
