Donation drive
Animal Au Paws Inc. is launching its 2012 “Have a Heart for Homeless Pets” donation drive Feb. 11 through 18. The drive’s sponsors are looking for new or used items such as crates, kennels, pet beds, blankets, towels, toys, dry and canned food, treats, leashes, collars and more that could benefit homeless animals with the Loudoun County-based Save the Tails Rescue Group, a nonprofit organization established to rescue dogs and puppies from rural area high kill shelters.
Save the Tails does not have a shelter or facility and relies on foster families in the area. During the donation drive Leesburg Veterinary Hospital, Towne Animal Clinic, Ashburn Village Animal Hospital, Countryside Animal Clinic, Dominion Animal Hospital and Doggie Wash will accept donations at their place of business. Monetary donations can also be mailed to AAP Headquarters at 38192 Highland Farm Place, Purcellville, VA 20132. For more information call 703-669-5255.
