The Art Institute of Washington - Dullles, a branch campus of the Art Institute of Atlanta, will be holding a reception March 1 at 6 p.m. to honor participants of the Loudoun County Public Schools and the Art Institute of Washington-Dulles Students Senior Art Show.
Now in its fourth year, the art show features paintings, models, garments, photographs and more from area high school seniors.
At the reception, members of the Loudoun Education Foundation will present the Purchase Award, which boasts a $500 prize, to the winning artist. The artist will also receive a $1,000 scholarship to the Art Institute of Washington-Dulles. The top three artists receive free admission to the five-day summer studio program.
Students' artwork will be displayed at the art institute, located 2100 Atlantic Blvd., Suite 100, in Dulles, from Feb. 11 to March 8. Selected art will then become a permanent display at the Loudoun County Public Schools Administrative building.
