@Bridget I knew your father very well, and every time i drive down 7 and pass the spot of where your father died it still breaks my heart. I Know Brittany very well As Well,  And i agree that she should of never left the area, but to put out all these comments that are just down right immature.  Its funny how someone behind a computer can talk all the smack but when it comes to face to face they are the quietest one in the room.  I do agree she was in the Wrong.  But people, be mature about it all and leave the stupid comments out of it.  This is not the time or the place for it.  No one cares.  It sad to see how many people are judge mental and don’t even know the girl.  It hard to tell whose the child around here and whose the adult!

It was more than poor judgement.  Maybe if she had bumped a car or a building and left the scene but she hit a 55 year old woman and didn’t care what happened to a fellow human being.  If the woman was airlifted, she was very seriously hurt.  They don’t use medivac unless someone’s life is in danger. 

We’ve all donw stupid things as teenagers and 20 somethings but certian actions are far too serious to say “oh she is just used bad judgement”. 

I don’t think prison is the answer and nobody wants to see her life ruined by going to jail but she should lose her drivers license until 25, pay financial resitution and perform long hours of communtiy service.  She needs pay for what she did.

She’s just very lucky, that the poor woman didn’t die.

@Dixie… First of all I have known this girl for many years and meth not at all her. I also know Bridget Forresters Family and her dad was an awesome man. You don’t know what was going through Brittany’s mind when this all happened. She knows what she did she now has to take responsibility for. Before you jump on a drug defense. Try a 20 year with a really good job an pays her own way and lives on her own trying to do what’s right. Made a horrible judgment call in leaving the scene. Who are you or anyone else to make any comments on the way a person is just by looking at her?

The original story from May said the driver was male.  Makes me wonder if it was her car and a friend was driving.

people don’t think what they are doing and think they won’t get caught and try to hide it if she was paying attention what she was doing and not driving fast she wouldn’t get in that situation and be careful and stay at the scene

Bridget Forrester - I apologize for my “stupid” remark. 

The stupid thing was a knee jerk reaction to two people stating that LTM had the wrong photo before they even checked out the facts.  Plus the woman in the photo is obviously upset so she had to have been very upset when the photo was taken. 

I feel very sad that you lost your father in such a horrific manner. God Bless you. At least they have better technology now and can find people who leave the scene of an accident.  I’m sure she’s a good kid and we’ve all done stupid things but if she had stayed at the scene, she probably would have just received a non-felony reckless driving ticket.

@Matt Vecchio!  WOW I am completely blown away!!  never in a million years would have thought something like that.  It just kills me that someone could hit someone and drive away.  There is no way that you could ever hit someone and not know it.  I lost my father to a hit and run driver in 2003.  I am completely shocked, I have known this person for years…

@Stop the madness First of all I am just completely shocked because I have known this girl for years.  Like I said she is a good friend of my daughters.  And NO I am not stupid..  And yes I know what it is like to have a person taken from you by a hit and run driver.  My father Everett Grimes was killed by a hit in run driver on Route 7 in 2003, to which Loudoun County has never solved.  I feel terrible for the family and I would never wish that on anyone!!  I am just totally shocked that this person would do something like that!!  So take your “stupid” comment and stick it somewhere!

This is def the worng persons picture on here. I went to school with the Brittany in the pictures brother all through middle school and highschool. I have known her ever since as well. Not really sure how LTM has came up and posted the wrongs persons pic, but I know I would be pretty mad if my pic was on a story of felony hit and run. Unbelievable….

First of all the person in the picture… Is not the person who did the hit in run.  They have pictured the wrong person.  This person has the same name as the person accused.  They must have gotten this picture off of facebook or something.  That is absolutely terrible to do an article and place someone’s picture up that had nothing to do with it…  The person in the picture is friends with my daughter and has never been arrested nor ever hit anyone.. NOR would ever hit someone and leave the scene!!!  This needs to be fixed now!

Crossing that parkway in front of Ashby ponds isn’t smart. There are no lights and it’s a blind spot for drivers and pedestrians. Unsure why someone would cross there since nothing across the street from Ashby? Police like to hideout just past Ashby. I don’t recall any cross walks in that area.

@ Rachel….don’t be too harsh on John.  He just got a little excited because it would be the first time someone from the opposite sex would have slobbered on his knob.

Yet, does anyone wonder why we see such bad driving examples, when we have Ken “Traffic Tickets from Heaven” Reid, getting all those traffic tickets, even during the time he’s in an election battle for the board of supervisors.  When we have such bad examples of Ken Reid standing there, and not be punished, and not losing his license to drive, how can the kids learn anything?

She should have stayed at the scene, ignoring crosswalks is like a satewide sport. Certainly in Loudoun County it is. Have you ever gotten, or seen someone get, or know anyone who got a ticket for ignoring pedestrians in a crosswalk?

And don’t even get me going about cyclists. I believe many motoristas are actually trying to kill people on bikes.
