Great Country Farms is kicking off the autumn season with the Cider Festival Sept. 22 and 23.
Peach, Raspberry and Cherry ciders will be available and adults can sample old fashioned “hard” cider as well. All ages enjoy the Bee Amaized corn maze with its fun honey comb design. Kids will be able to enjoy a pre-frost pumpkin patch and come back later in the season to pick them. Fresh apple butter is available from the members of Catoctin Presbyterian Church in Waterford who have been making apple butter for more than twenty-five years.
The weekend will feature live music from the Wil Gravatt Duo and specially prepared cider slushies at the Farm’s Roosteraunt.
Festival hours will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $10 per child and $12 per adult. Military ID holders and under 2 are free.
Great Country Farms is at 18780 Foggy Bottom Road in Bluemont.
