Auto Accident

Burglary
Jan. 24, 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
A home at the 900 block of North Upton Street in Sterling was burglarized with a video game system, video games and cash stolen. There were no signs of forced entry.

Child Solicitation
Jan. 24
Lazaro C. Hernandez, 49, of Ashburn was taken into custody after allegedly agreeing to meet someone he believed to be an underaged female at a hotel for sex. The Sheriff’s Office had been contacted in December when allegations that an adult male was sending inappropriate messages to an underage female were reported. A member of the NOVA/DC Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force was assigned and posed as an underaged female. Hernandez is charged with one count of using a computer to solicit a child less than 18-years-old. He is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. The case remains under investigation by the Loudoun Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division and more charges may be placed. For more information, click here.


Larceny
Jan. 22-23, 6 p.m. - 6 a.m.
Copper piping was stolen from homes under construction at the 21200 block of Hyrst Grove Terrace in Ashburn.

Jan. 23-24, 3 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.
A cell phone and other items were stolen from a car at the 20700 block of Great Falls Plaza in Sterling.

Jan. 24, Midnight to 6 a.m.
Although nothing was reported missing, someone rummaged through an unlocked vehicle parked at the 44200 block of Fawngrove Court in Ashburn.
