    Crime Report for Friday, Sept. 28, 2012

    Auto Accident
    Sept. 27, 12:53 p.m.
    A 34-year-old Chantilly man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries after a motorcycle accident. He was riding his 2004 Honda motorcycle on Route 606 near Pebble Run Place when he stopped for a turning vehicle. At this time he was allegedly struck from behind by a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina. The driver of the Lumina, Mark McGlone, 23, of Chantilly, was charged with reckless driving.

    Burglary
    Sept. 27, Noon
    A nearby resident observed someone entering a garage at the 19800 block of Belmont Ridge Road in Ashburn. Nothing was stolen, but some power tools had been moved.

    Destruction of Property
    Sept. 26-27, 9 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
    Three vehicles were spray-painted by vandals at the 13900 block of Freedom Center Lane in Leesburg.

    Larceny
    Sept. 25-27, 3 p.m. – 11:52 p.m.
    Several items were stolen from a car at the 42600 block of Suny Bay Court in South Riding. Missing items included a laptop a video camera.

    Sept. 26-27, 9 p.m. – 1 a.m.
    Thieves stole sporting equipment from a car at the 50 block of Cedar Drive in Sterling.

    Sept. 27, 12:30 a.m. – 7 a.m.
    Sunglasses were stolen from a car parked near the intersection of Eastern Kingbird Plaza and Nightwatch Street in Ashburn. The passenger window of the car was also damaged.
