    Auto Accident
    Aug. 24, 3:39 p.m.
    A fatal car crash occurred at the intersection of Braddock Road and Gum Spring Road in Chantilly. A 2005 Nissan Altima failed to yield the right of way, leading to a motorcycle hitting the passenger door. The motorcycle driver, Patrick Wolfe, 42, of Woodbridge lost his life at the scene. The driver of the Nissan, Fadris Bai-Suba Kamara, 19, of Haymarket was charged with reckless driving.

    Auto Theft
    Aug. 26, 1 a.m. – 6 a.m.
    A silver 2000 Mercedes Benz C230 was stolen from a garage at the 25400 block of Carrington Drive in South Riding.

    Burglary
    Aug. 24
    Several small items were stolen from a house at the 20900 block of Sandstone Square in Sterling.

    Aug. 26, 12:30 a.m. – 2 a.m.
    Jewelry and coins were stolen from a house at the 20900 block of Hollyberry Court in Ashburn.

    Destruction of Property
    Aug. 24, 10 p.m. – 9:15 a.m.
    Thirteen tires were slashed in the area of Glengyle Lane, Darian Court and Fenton Wood Drive.

    Larceny
    Aug. 24-25, 11:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
    An iPod accessory and cash were stolen from a car at the 19400 block of Diamond Court in Leesburg.

    Aug. 25-26, 9 p.m. – 9:41 a.m.
    Unknown persons rummaged through two unlocked vehicles in an open garage. A third vehicle in the area, the 19700 block of Far Hills Court in Ashburn, was also entered into.

    Aug. 25-26, 11 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
    Spare change was stolen from 2 cars at the 19500 block of Saratoga Springs Place in Ashburn.

    Aug. 25-26, 7 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
    Unknown persons rummaged through a car at the 21200 block of Butterfield Court in Ashburn.

    Aug. 25-26, Midnight – 9:30 a.m.
    Someone rummaged through a car at the 19700 block of Stanford Hall Place of Ashburn.

    Aug. 25-26, 6 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.
    A car was rummaged through at the 21200 block of Irongate Way in Ashburn.

    Aug. 25-26, 11 p.m. – 9:50 a.m.
    Loose change was stolen from a vehicle at the 19600 block of Player Court in Ashburn.

    Aug. 26, 2 p.m.
    An iPod and Cell phone were stolen from a car at the 43599 block of Carradoc Farm Terrace in Leesburg.

    Pursuit
    Aug. 25, 3:03 a.m.
    After a deputy initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Countryside Boulevard and Peyton Road, the driver continued going forward until reaching the area of Winding Road and Broadrun Drive. The driver fled on foot into a wooded area. The Sheriff’s Office instituted an aerial and ground search with canine unit assistance. Candelario De Jesus Osorio-Gamez, 26, of Leesburg, was allegedly found hiding in a pond. He was charged with felony eluding, misdemeanor eluding, driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, false ID to law enforcement, driving without a license. He was also charged with hit and run because his vehicle rolled into the police cruiser when he abandoned it.

    Suspicious Event
    Aug. 24, 1:07 a.m.
    Deputies responded to the 47300 block of Middle Bluff Terrace in Sterling after receiving reports of gunfire in a wooded area along Sugarland Run.

    Aug. 25-26, Midnight – 7:43 p.m.
    A discharged firearm round was found near the window of a home at the 43500 block of Loudoun Barn Way. The homeowner did not know when it might have been left there.
