Crime Report for Monday, Jan. 7, 2013
Jan. 6, 4:03 a.m.
A domestic dispute between family members at the 100 block of North Filmore Ave. in Sterling resulted in the hospitalization of a 51-year-old woman and the deaths of two family dogs. The suspect is a 32-year-old Sterling woman who was taken into custody at the scene. Charges are pending. The hospitalized woman was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Jan. 5, 3:19 p.m.
A vehicle stolen from Fairfax County was found abandoned in the area of the 15100 block of Shannondale Road in Purcellville.
Destruction of Property
Jan. 1, 4 p.m.
A resident of the 200 block of North Maple Avenue in Purcellville reported a broken glass door. Damages are estimated at $150.
Jan. 6, 6:30 p.m.
After discovering one of their home windows damaged, a resident of the 20 block of Town Center Drive in Lovettsville saw a man leaving the area in a dark colored vehicle.
Jan. 6, 12:55 a.m.
The Sheriff’s Office received multiple reports of gunfire in the area surrounding River Bank Street, Clifton Point’s Street and Middlebluff Place. Deputies were unable to locate any disturbance upon arrival.
Jan. 4, 4:30 p.m.
Cash was stolen from an unlocked car at the 19900 block of Alexandras Grove Drive in Ashburn.
Jan. 4, 3 a.m. - 3:10 a.m.
A stranger was seen attempting to enter several cars in the area of Taylor Crescent Drive in Chantilly. This unknown male left by car before deputies arrived.
A camera was stolen from a car at the 43300 block of Sandi Louise Court in Ashburn.
Jan. 5, 3:40 a.m.
Someone rummaged through the inside of a car at the 43200 block of Katie Leigh Court in Ashburn. Nothing was taken.
Jan. 6, 6:10 p.m. - 6:18 p.m.
Two teens were seen entering a car near the intersection of Highcroft Terrace and New Dawn Terrace. The pair fled on foot when seeing a local resident. Nothing was reported stolen.
Jan. 5, 1:17 a.m. - 1:20 a.m.
After responding to a fight in progress at the 43100 block of Cardston Place in Leesburg, police stopped a car leaving the area and took Andrew J. Fleming, 19, of Leesburg, into custody. Fleming was wanted by the Town of Leesburg Police Department for a December 2012 robbery. Another robbery was reported outside a home on Cardston Place, but this incident is still under investigation.
