Crime Report for Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013
Although nothing is believed stolen. Residents of a home on Rogerdale Place in Ashburn reported finding their back door damaged.
Jan. 21, Midnight - 4 a,m.
A wallet was stolen from a house at the 25700 block of Howerton Drive in South Riding and a credit card used fraudulently in multiple locations. It is believed that access to the home was gained by taking a garage door remote from an unlocked car.
Destruction of Property
Jan. 12, 11:30-11:59 p.m.
After an earlier argument, a resident of the 43200 block of Braddock Road in Centreville discovered that his car tire was flat. It was later determined that the tire was damaged by gunfire.
Jan. 20, 4:10 a.m.
Araz Azarsina, 20, of Centreville, was charged with breaking and entering and destruction of property after deputies responded to the 41700 block of Eloquence Terrace in Aldie after receiving reports of a man trying to enter a home.
Jan. 17, 2:20 a.m.
Ayaz A. Memon, 25, of Ashburn was charged with disorderly conduct and brandishing a firearm at the 44000 block of Ashburn Shopping Plaza. Earlier, deputies responded to a local restaurant for reports of an intoxicated man with a gun. Allegedly, Memon and another man started arguing and left through a side door. Memon was released with a $2,500 bond. The second man was charged with drunk in public.
Jan. 18, 4:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.
Rajesh Kumar, 37, of Ashburn was charged with indecent exposure after allegedly exposing his posterior to juveniles at Dulles Town Center. For more information, click here.
Jan. 14, 1:21 p.m. - 3:53 p.m.
A dishwasher was stolen from a home under construction at the 11900 block of George Farm Drive in Lovettsville.
Jan. 16-17, 10:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.
A camera was taken from a car at the 43200 block of Somerset Hills Terrace in Ashburn.
Jan. 17, 6 a.m.
GPS units was stolen from two cars at the 30 block of Dulany Court in Sterling.
Jan. 17, 2:25 p.m.
A laptop was stolen from a car at the 45400 block of Dulles Crossing Plaza in Sterling.
Someone stole cologne and other items from a car at the 43200 block of Baltusrol Terrace in Ashburn.
Jan. 17-18, 5:30 p.m. - 7 a.m.
Construction equipment was taken from a construction site at the 41600 block of Appleyard Place in Ashburn.
Jan. 18-19, 8 p.m. - 8:30 a.m.
Two vehicles were rummaged through at the 42500 block of Olmsted Drive in Ashburn.
Jan. 18-20, 6 p.m. - 8:30 a.m.
Several vehicles in the area of Oak Post Court, Whisperhill Court and Gulicks Landing Court were rummaged through. In one instance, a flashlight was taken.
Jan. 19, 5:30 p.m. - 9 a.m.
Someone rummaged through a car at the 42500 block of Regal Wood Drive in South Riding.
Jan. 19, 12:31 a.m. - Noon
Someone rummaged through a car at the 42700 block of Ridgeway Drive in Ashburn.
Loose change and a backpack were stolen from a vehicle at the 22000 block of Highview Trail Place in Ashburn.
Jan. 20, 12:30 a.m. - Noon
A purse was stolen from a car at the 42600 block of Galbraith Square in Ashburn.
Jan. 20-21, 5:30 p.m. - 10 a.m.
An unknown person stole sunglasses, a GPS and a small amount of cash from a car at the 21400 block of Tithables Circle in Ashburn.
Jan. 20-21, 10 p.m. - 10 a.m.
Someone rummaged through a car at the 21400 block of Hearthstone Court in Ashburn, but nothing was taken.
Jan. 20-21, 9 p.m. - 8 a.m.
Someone stole an iPod and loose change from a car parked at the 22000 block of Stone Hollow Drive in Ashburn.
Jan. 20-21, 6 p.m. - 8:30 a.m.
Thieves stole a wallet from a car parked at the 41300 block of Windybush Drive in Leesburg.
Jan. 21, 7 p.m. - 5 a.m.
A car was rummaged through at the 22000 block of Stone Hollow Drive in Ashburn.
Jan, 21, 4:10 a.m.
A resident of the 42700 block of Jonquil Lane in South Riding went to investigate when he heard his garage door open. Although no one was located, law enforcement believes someone took a garage door opener from an unlocked car. A similar incident took place at the 42700 block of Shaler Court, where a garage door opener was taken from a car and used to access other cars—stealing a pair of sunglasses. On Dabner Drive, loose change was stolen from 2 cars—one inside a garage and one outside.
Jan. 21, 2 a.m. - 4 a.m.
Jan. 19, 3:50 p.m. - 4:17 p.m.
A 53-year-old Maryland man traveled to the 1100 block of Albemarle Road in Sterling to view a car for sale. Two men appeared in a white van, assaulted the Maryland man and stole cash from him. The suspects are described as a heavy set Asian male and a tall thin white man.
Jan. 19, 9:52 p.m.
A resident of the 45900 block of Waterview Plaza in Sterling spotted a strange man crouched next to a car and apparently holding a small knife. When confronted, the stranger (who was wearing a black hoodie) fled the area on foot.Law enforcement was unable to locate him.
Jan. 20, 1:31 a.m.
Stephen M. Graham, 25, of Pennsylvania, was charged with unlawful entry and drunk in public after residents o the 20700 block of Rainsboro Drive in Ashburn reported someone trying to get into their home. Graham was allegedly located inside an exterior utility closet.
