Vehicle into a Structure: Deputies responded to the scene of the Ashburn Village California Tortilla restaurant for a report of a vehicle into the structure.  Daniel Goldstein, 38, of Ashburn had just pulled his 2003 Acura SUV into a parking space in front of the restaurant when he began reaching into the backseat of the vehicle to retrieve something.  Upon turning toward the back of the car his foot struck the accelerator causing the vehicle to climb the curb and traverse onto the sidewalk.  Upon realizing that his vehicle was moving forward, he attempted to brake, but mistakenly struck the accelerator.  The vehicle proceeded through the glass exterior and into the dining area where it struck a 43year-old Ashburn man.  The victim was seated at a table in the establishment eating dinner with his juvenile daughter and his daughter’s juvenile friend.  The victim was transported to the Lansdowne Campus of INOVA Loudoun Hospital and is listed in stable condition. The juvenile daughter was also treated at the hospital for minor injuries.  Goldstein was not wearing his seatbelt and the airbag to his vehicle did not deploy.  Goldstein was issued a summons for reckless driving as a result of the incident.
