Councilman Tom Dunn will kick off his campaign for mayor of Leesburg March 6.

The kickoff will begin at 4 p.m. on the Courthouse grounds along East Market Street in Leesburg.

Bluemont resident Maddy Curtis, who appeared on “American Idol” this season, will perform at the event.

Following the kickoff will be a meet and greet with Dunn, hosted by Melanie and David Miles at their home, The Historic Glenfidich House, at 205 N. King St.

All are welcome, and refreshments will be served. Campaign contributions will be accepted as well.

Town elections are May 4.
