An 81-year-old woman died Feb. 1 from injuries sustained in a car crash on Jan. 25. She passed away at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
The woman had been driving a 1995 Saturn at the Gloucester Parkway and Runnymeade Terrace intersection and failed to yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
A 2005 Toyota, driven by a 61-year-old Pennsylvania woman, was traveling westbound on Gloucester and struck the Saturn. Both drivers were injured, and the 81-year-old was transported by ambulance to Inova Loudoun Hospital. She was later airlifted to Fairfax.
