Four family members were found dead in a home Tuesday morning near Frying Pan Farm Park, just outside of Herndon.
Fairfax County police said they were called out to the home on the 13300 block of Point Rider Lane because a woman at the residence had not shown up for work for several days.
“Police were called out at 10:37 a.m. for a welfare check,” said police spokesman Bud Walker.
Police confirmed that all four victims were related, but did not identify them, say how they died, or whether one of them was being considered as a suspect in the deaths.
Homicide and crime scene investigators are on the scene and next of kin for the family had not yet been identified as of 2:30 p.m., according to Walker.
“There appears to be no threat to the general public in this case,” said Walker.
