A Herndon man was robbed at gunpoint Jan. 13 in Chantilly while trying to sell shoes to a man he met through the Internet.
When the 19-year-old man arrived at 7:50 p.m. at the meeting location at Avonlea Drive and Rowderbury Square he found that two other men had accompanied the buyer, according to Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office reports.
One of the men pulled out a firearm and demanded cash, an iPhone and the shoes. The three then fled the scene on foot.
KFPowers, the Chantilly zipcode runs from western Fairfax county out rte 50 to Foley Branch between South Riding and Stone Ridge, where it meets the Aldie zipcode, based in the unincorporated rural village west of rte 15, but including all of the developments of Gum Spring Road and in the transition zone, etc.
This occurred just west of South Riding subdivision, in the shared Chantilly zipcode.
It would be nice if the USPS thought there were something between the Fairfax County line and rte 15.
I just wonder if the Herndon man has a receipt for those shoes.
It would be nice if people would keep Chantilly in Fairfax, and call South Riding, South Riding.
Chantilly is a city in Fairfax. Transplants from Fairfax want to keep their ties to FFX and refrain from thinking they live in Loudoun County.
stay classy chantilly
