The day kicked off with a parade down South King Street, continued with live bands, games and food at Ida Lee Park, and culminated with a firewords show at Ida Lee.

    Tuesday, July 3

    Lovettsville Independence Day Celebration. 5:30-10 p.m. Lovettsville’s celebration kicks off with a hometown parade followed by family activities including pony rides, games, face painting and more.     Wednesday, July 4

    Town of Purcellville 4th of July Parade and Fireworks. 12:30 p.m. parade. The parade will start at Emerick Elementary School, go up Orchard Drive, turn right onto Main Street and left onto Maple Ave, ending at Loudoun Valley High School. 130 E.     Leesburg’s Independence Day Celebration. 10 a.m, parade; 6 p.m. park celebration begins; 9:30 p.m. fireworks. Parade beginning at Ida Lee Park and traveling down King Street through the historic district to Catoctin Circle. “Celebration in the Park” at Ida Lee offers food vendors and live music.     Middleburg Community Center’s 4th of July events and fireworks. Pool open 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.; July 4th festivities 6-9 p.m. Swim in the pool during the day, then enjoy music, games, contests and food. This year’s event will feature an inflatable fast pitch and batting cage courtesy of the Loudoun Hounds. Fetch the mascot will also be there (5:30-8:30pm) with Loudoun Hounds stickers and tattoos for the crowd. Fireworks will commence at dusk. Middleburg Community Center, 300 W.     Ol’ Time 4th of July Celebration. 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Activities include pony and wagon rides, a pie eating contest, crafts, an amazing reptile show and nature exhibits. Tour the historic Lanesville Ordinary and see displays at the Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum. Enjoy live music and food vendors. $5 donation suggested.     Independence Day at Franklin Park. 6 p.m. Music, food, fun and fireworks. Live local entertainment and the Loudoun Symphonic Winds will perform and accompany the fireworks display, which will begin at around 9:20 p.m.

    4th of July Celebration and Fireworks at Bready Park. 6:30 p.m. Children’s crafts, bingo and family music. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. 814 Ferndale Ave, Herndon. http://www.herndon-va.gov .

    Fireworks and Romance. 7-10 p.m. Watch “sparks fly” from the romantic viewpoint of the Morven Park Mansion lawn. Fully catered by Vintage 50 Restaurant, the evening includes a raw bar, wines and other temptations. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs. $75/person.
