The Goodstone Inn and Restaurant has been named a finalist by the Condé Nast Johansens.
Goodstone, located in Middleburg, is a country inn and French restaurant in the heart of Virginia wine and hunt country. It was founded in the 1700’s.
“The Awards for Excellence winners represent the very best of the best,” Lesley O’Malley-Keyes, vice president and publishing director of The Americas said in a press release. “Our readers are discerning and experienced travelers who know what they want when they travel – exceptional accommodations, outstanding service and good value for money. Condé Nast Johansens only recommends properties that meet these very specific standards.”
This is the second straight year Goodstone was awarded as the Most Excellent Inn. In 2011, the restaurant also received the prestigious OpenTable Diner’s Choice Award for Top 100 Restaurants in the U.S.
Seriously. Goodstone isn’t an old inn. It hasn’t even been in existence for 20 years.
Do the LTM journalists do any research before writing articles?
I will have to try this place though I am partial to the French Hound which is much better than the Red Fox Inn
To the author.
The Goodstone in was most certainly NOT founded in the 1700s (or the 1800s, or even the early 1900s)
Please correct the article.
Spent a night at Goodstone. Restaurant - fantastic. Accommodations - lacking in several regards. Nice, but not worthy of the award granted by Conde Nast.
Although i also like Red Fox Inn, Goodstone is the Gem of NOVA. Without a doubt the best service, atmosphere and experience of all restaurants in the area.
Red Fox Inn is better than Goodstone
