Inova Health System and Children’s National Medical Center have combined to form Pediatric Specialists of Virginia, LLS. The outpatient venture will bring together and hire pediatric specialists from both systems to provide specialty care to children in Northern Virginia.

The partnership is scheduled to begin in the fall when pediatric gastroenterology, nephrology, genetics, hematology/oncology and orthopedics will be offered at three locations in Fairfax. Right now, both health systems offer these services through separate specialty care centers.

The partnership will form an integrated model to maximize the reach of the limited number of specialists in the areas listed. Inova and Children’s are also working on other partnerships, including some in research, community outreach and education.
