The Town of Leesburg’s Utilities Department will conduct controlled flushing of water mains throughout the Town from March 11 through April 12.
Water is safe to drink and use during flushing. However, flushing may result in some discoloration and sediment in the water. If discoloration or sediment is evident, the Town recommends residents avoid doing laundry until the discoloration subsides. Flushing may also introduce air into the water, which may temporarily cause erratic flow.
Flushing is anticipated to begin in the northeast area of town, and then proceed to the southeast, northwest, and southwest areas, respectively.
Some residents and businesses may experience lower pressure during the flushing in their neighborhood.
For more information about the water main flushing program, call the Utilities Department at 703-737-7075.
