The Virginia State police is still investigating the details of an overnight crash that claimed the life of a Leesburg man.
According to a prepared release from the VSP, James E. Girvin, 25, of Leesburg died at the scene of a crash at Route 7 and the Lansdowne Boulevard/Route 901. This single-car accident occurred at 1:54 a.m. when Girvin’s 2004 Infiniti G35 was traveling west on Route 7 and exiting northbound on Lansdowne Boulevard.
Police believe that the vehicle ran off the left side of the road, causing the Girvin to lose control of the vehicle. The car hit the tree.
The crash remains under investigation. More details will be released as they become available.
That area is known for a TON of deer. Wonder if that contributed to him running off the road. Sad.
