Brenda Navarro Henriquez, a fifth grader at Rolling Ridge Elementary School, was one of 13 honored in the Washington, D.C. area for her outstanding safety patrolling.
Henriquez was named the 2012 AAA Outstanding School Safety Patrol Award for her leadership, dependability, academics, promptness and industriousness in and outside of school. Each Loudoun County school nominates one safety patrol officer and the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office selects the winner each year.
“The School Safety Patrol Program plays a vital role in ensuring our children get to and from school safely,” Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman said. “I am proud of Brenda and all of the students who dedicate their time to this program.”
