    Lovettsvillle homeowner robbed at gunpoint

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a Lovettsville homeowner at gunpoint this morning.

The homeowner, according to reports, was awakened about 10 a.m. by his dogs and found an unknown man inside the residence in the 14200 block of Milltown Road. The man pointed a gun at the homeowner and demanded cash and jewelry. However, nothing was taken from the home.

The robber fled the scene on a small cruiser-style motorcycle and traveled south on Milltown Road. He’s described as white, in his mid-30’s, with shoulder length red hair and red facial hair. He was further described as being 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, dark shorts and ankle boots.

If you have any information regarding the possible identity of this suspect, contact Detective C. Salter of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475.

Callers wishing to remain anonymous are asked to call Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. If the information provided to Crime Solvers leads to an arrest and indictment, the caller could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
