A man taken into the emergency room this morning was combative with staff and fled.
Elliot D Lansdown was involved in a crash on Route 15 at 5:48 this morning, and was believed to be intoxicated. He was taken to the emergency room at the Cornwall Campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg.
He had last been seen wearing a brown striped polo shirt and jeans, with a piercing in his lip. At 7:50 a.m., the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and the Leesburg Police Department sent out a message to residents via the Loudoun Alert system that Lansdown was on the loose.
Lansdown, who was unarmed throughout the chase, is wanted on charges in Maryland.
Residents who lived in the immediate vicinity of the hospital were advised to stay inside and lock their doors until the man was found, and to report suspicious activity to 911.
But by 8:07 a.m., Lansdown had been located and was in custody. He was found near Route 15 and Edwards Ferry Road.
Standard Operating Procedure for drunk people who act up should be a billy club to the legs, arms, and chest. If they continue to act up, repeat until they say “can’t we all get along”. The call the paramedics and describe how the drunk fool grabbed your billy club and hit himself into submission.
Bet you $50 he votes Democrat. Just sailing.
He stole the car.
@Holly…sounds like you “chose” to walk through a dark parking lot ALONE. I’m sure his first responsibility wasn’t to hold your hand.
I’ve been in the ER with my husband when very, very intoxicated individuals were brought in. They can be belligerent, extremely so, screaming and hollering at the poor nurses and doctors. It’s not pretty. You wouldn’t want them anywhere near you, that’s for sure.
Thanks to the cop on Cornwall St, who had his blue lights going and when I made my right turn onto Cornwall-veeerrry slowly - not knowing what was goin on—didn’t bother to tell me. Instead I walked thru a dark parking lot (in front of the Cornwall campus) at 6:45 am ALONE. Thanks buddy!
This poor individual definitely has problems, never should have been operating a motor vehicle in that condition if he was intoxicated and is extremely lucky that he did encounter the wrong one of the many messed upcommuters whose morning routes he messed up with his shenanigans. I personally am glad that they caught him, throw the book at him, and consider him lucky that he did not meet me this morning, as I was one of those commuters stuck with the results of little escapade.
He was probably on his way to his government job where he could sleep it off.
I doubt he was on his way to a job. If you ever have to sit in traffic court one thing you will find is that drunk drivers are the most selfish hardheaded people you will ever hear from in your life; they will justify their actions until Armageddon.
That’s the 2nd early morning drunk driver in about as many weeks. Geez people, call in sick if you’re gonna stay up all nite and tie one on !
