Man with smoke grenade stopped at Dulles Airport
A passenger was stopped March 10 at Washington Dulles International Airport after TSA officers found a live smoke grenade in his luggage.

According to the Office of Public Affairs for the TSA, the Great Falls resident attempted to conceal the grenade in the lining of his bag. Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority police officers confiscated the grenade after being alerted by TSA, and the man was allowed to continue on his flight to Denver. There were no charges filed.

Earlier that weekend, on March 8, a passenger was stopped trying to bring a stun gun on the flight. The passenger surrendered the weapon and continued on his flight to Charlotte. No charges were filed.

Was the guy a Cardinal perhaps, on his way to Rome?

Hmm.  He obviously knew that he shouldn’t have tried to pack the grenade, because he tried to conceal it.  Yet, no charges were filed ?  How about a charge of being a dumb*** ?  You really have to wonder about people.  If that thing had gone off, it could have very well started a fire in the cargo hold.  One only has to look back at the Valujet crash in the Everglades, to see that you don’t want anything capable of starting or accelerating a fire on a plane.
