Woodgrove High School’s Music and Arts Association is hosting its second annual Mardi Gras Auction and Showcase on Feb. 18 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Woodgrove High School, 36811 Allder School Road, Purcellville. There will be about 30 auction items up for bid donated by Live Auction and hosted by Tillet and Damewood Auctioneers. More than $7,300 was raised last year and this event is the largest fundraiser for Woodgrove’s Fine Arts Program. Proceeds will be used to fund scores for music ensembles, costumes and props for drama productions, drawing tablets for the art department and much more. Entertainment includes performances from the men’s chorus, auditioned chorus, guitar and orchestra ensemble, among others. Woodgrove’s jazz band will perform twice. Tickets are $10 either at the door or Haute Dog & Fries or Re-Love It both in Purcellville.
