The Loudoun County Master Gardeners will hold their next monthly meeting March 7 at the Rust Library in Leesburg.

The 7 p.m. program, “Alien Weeds: Art from the Invasive Plant Harvest,” will feature speaker Patterson Clark, an artist and naturalist who writes and illustrates the “Urban Jungle” weekly natural history column for the Washington Post.

Clark, who holds a master's degree in fine arts from California Institute of the Arts and a bachelor's degree in biology and art from Hendrix College, creates paper, pens, ink, artwork and brushes from his unique crop of weeds. His artwork can be viewed at alienweeds.com.
