A 46-year-old Middleburg man died Feb. 19 after a single-vehicle crash on Route 15 south of Leesburg.
William Donale Grant was driving south on the road near Foxfield Lane at 8:30 p.m. when he left the roadway and struck a mailbox, a utility box and a utility pole. Grant was driving a 1991 Pontiax Grand Prix.
He was taken to the Cornwall Campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital, where he died. He had not been wearing a seatbelt.

Rt 287 was closed yesterday morning due to a horrific accident. A black pick-up truck appeared to cross the center line at a high rate of speed heading north and ran into a vehicle headed south. Yes there were serious injuries. Two adults were transported by helicopter and two children were transported to Landsdowne with minor injuries.
Sympathies for the Grant family. Does anyone know what happened on Rt. 287, around the game club, yesterday morning? Looked pretty bad…hope no one was seriously hurt.
