The National Conference Center hired Katie E. Verbano as sales manager, specializing in attracting healthcare and pharmaceutical companies to the center, one of the largest conference centers in the nation.

Verbano, of Sterling, has worked as a sales manager at Crystal City Hyatt Regency in Alexandria and LXR Luxury Resorts Inc. in Florida. She holds a bachelor’s of science degree in hotel, restaurant and recreation management from Penn State University.
