Robinson to run for Leesburg Town Council

S. Ann Robinson became the last candidate to throw her name into the race for Leesburg Town Council by filing just before the deadline March 2.

“Examining the field of candidates last week, I did not see many issues being debated this spring and wanted to expand the ideas and concerns during this critical period of economic recovery,” Robinson said.

Robinson said her campaign will focus on helping the town’s small businesses grow and prosper.

She also said she would work to make sure projects that Leesburg residents need, like a pedestrian bridge over Route 15 and the Sycolin Road flyover, are given priority over recreational projects.

Robinson is one of five candidates running for Leesburg’s three open council seats May 4.
