Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will visit state Del. Joe May’s manufacturing business in Sterling Wednesday afternoon in a free, open-to-the-public campaign stop.
According to his campaign, the former Massachusetts governor will discuss how, if elected president, he “will put jobs first, something President Obama has failed to do for the past three and a half years.”
Romney last week unveiled a “first 100 days” ad in Virginia, which states the Republican will move to repeal President Barack Obama’s health care legislation on day one in office, attack the federal deficit and reverse Obama’s offshore drilling ban by day 100.
Those interested in attending Wednesday’s speech can RSVP at http://www.mittromney.com/states/virginia Doors. open at 3:30 p.m. May’s electronic manufacturing and engineering services company, EIT, is located at 22815 Glenn Drive in Sterling.
Most major polls show Romney at a slight disadvantage over the Democratic president. A Real Clear Politics (RCP) poll averaging high-profile polling services across the country show Obama with a 2.6 percent advantage over Romney nationally. In Virginia, Obama’s advantage is bumped to 3 percent, according to RCP.
In 2008, Obama won the commonwealth’s 13 electoral votes, the first time Virginia went blue in 44 years.
Okay, but can we put jobs first here int he US instead of outsourcing them….
Isn’t it dangerous to have a human windsock so close to Dulles airport?
