The public is invited to hear a presentation from Jerry “Hawk” Burton, chairman of the East Coast Chapter of the Tuskegee Airman Inc. at 7 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Cascades Library in Potomac Falls.
Burton’s presentation will be about the famed airmen who overcame segregation and prejudice to become one of the most respected fighting groups of World War II.
The event’s organizers have said there will likely be distinguished guest in attendance who served with distinction as fighter pilots in Korea and Vietnam who are close friends with many of the surviving original Tuskegee Airmen.
The program is free and open to the public. It’s recommend for teens and adults.
Cascades Library is at 21030 Whitfield Place.
