Tow truck driver robbed of cell phone

A tow truck driver was robbed of his cell phone Saturday after he was confronted by an unknown person while trying to tow an illegally parked vehicle at Andrew Place and Greenthorn Avenue in Sterling.

The driver was confronted about 3:43 a.m., according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, and a struggle ensued.

The alleged robber is described as black, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 280 pounds, in his mid 30's with a full beard.

Following the incident, the man fled the scene on foot.
