UPDATE: Man assaulted woman in Ashburn Park

Loudoun County deputies are searching for a man who reportedly assaulted a woman in Ashburn on Oct. 20.

According to reports, the woman was assaulted with a blunt object about 2:29 p.m. at Trailside Park in the 20300 block of Claiborne Parkway.

The man, who was reportedly acting erratic toward people at the park, left the area prior to law enforcement’s arrival.

A woman, who was concerned by the man’s behavior, asked him to leave the park. He struck her when she tried to stop him from leaving the area, according to reports, and received minor injuries.

The man is described as black. He was last seen wearing a blue fleece, with a gray vest over top, jeans and was riding a bicycle.

No other description is available at the time, according to a spokesman with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

    Comments

Sounds like the man was acting in self defense as the woman attacked him 1st by her own admission.

Little confused here as the woman asked him to leave and then was hit trying to prevent him from leaving. I hope she’s ok, but if someone is acting erratic please don’t put yourself in harms way by stopping him from leaving.

So let me get this straight: the woman told him to leave the park, then tried to prevent him from leaving the park. Should she be surprised that the man clobbered her?

    Anything else? Young/Old? Fat/Skinny? Tall/Short? Scars/Tattoos? Facial hair?
I doubt he’s wearing the same clothes as Saturday, more info would be helpful.
