During the Loudoun County School Board’s June 26 meeting, Del. Tom Rust presented the late Warren Geurin’s wife, Susan, with resolution from the Virginia General Assembly in honor of Geurin’s life.
“The resolution speaks of Warren’s dedication to the public education not only that, but to the students and the students of Sterling,” Rust said. “I think if Warren were the thing he would say he was most proud of was getting the public school systems in the Sterling renovated, he was very, very proud of that.
Geurin, who passed away last year after a battle with cancer, was the Sterling representative on the School Board. He served on the Board for more than a decade.
“We just heard today that Dr. Hatrick said he saw Warren as a cardinal today,” Susan Geurin said. “I will probably see and go out and see a cardinal fly by. Politics and government were always part of our lives. I thank you for this honor and my family thanks you.”
Thank you Susan Geurin for sharing your precious time with your husband with all of us….he truly had the best interest of all the students at heart.
