York calls special Board of Supervisors meeting Feb. 7

Loudoun Board of Supervisors Chairman Scott York (R-At Large) has called for a special board meeting Feb. 7 to discuss security at the Loudoun County Government Center in downtown Leesburg.

A portion of the meeting is expected to be held in closed session, according to the agenda. Under Virginia code, governing bodies may meet in closed sessions for “discussion of reports or plans related to the security of any governmental facility, building or structure, or the safety of persons using such facility, building or structure.”

York said Friday he was calling his colleagues together to review security policies at the county’s main administration building on Harrison Street in Leesburg. He did not say whether the meeting stemmed from any specific events.

The topic of government security is the only one expected to be taken up at the special meeting.

The Board of Supervisors will still hold its regularly-scheduled, first-Wednesday-of-the-month meeting Feb. 6.

Perhaps the goal is to figure out if there are any more informants slipping into the government center, ready to expose another Super like they did Delgaudio…

How many BOS staff aides are already “packing?”
This totally unprofessional local government is out of control.
Voters need to not re-elect anybody and start all over.

How many armed deputies will we have protecting the BOS and how many at our elementary schools? Is this the kind of session that could have anything to do with the Delgaudio situation?
