Three Loudoun varsity football teams will attempt to punch their tickets for the Virginia Division 4 or Division 5 state playoffs when they play in region championship games Nov. 23.
Two-time defending state champion Briar Woods will host Loudoun County in the Region II Division 4 championship game Friday at 7 p.m. A pair of undefeated teams will take the field earlier in the day as Stone Bridge hosts Yorktown for the Northern Region Division 5 title at 1:30 p.m.
Briar Woods shut out Loudoun County, 45-0, in the team’s regular-season meeting Nov. 3 in Leesburg. Liberty District champion Stone Bridge and National District champion Yorktown did not play each other.
