Stone Bridge High School held a ceremony April 26 to honor senior Matt Riddle’s signing to play football at Stetson University in DeLand, Fla. Riddle played offensive tackle/center for the 2011 Liberty District champion Bulldogs.

Stetson is bringing back its football program after a 50-year hiatus. 2012 will be a practice year for the program before starting play again in 2013. The Hatters will play in the Pioneer League and compete in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision.

Former Princeton head coach Roger Hughes has been hired to build the Stetson football program.
