    Washington Capitals to hold blood drive in Sterling

    The Washington Capitals, in conjunction with Inova Blood Services, will host their annual summer blood drive July 28 at the Dulles Donor Center in Sterling.

    Donors will receive a Matt Hendricks bobblehead and a t-shirt. A Caps player will also be present at the event, although the event has not announced which one it will be.

    This will be the third Washington Capitals blood drive in 2012; previous blood drives were held in March and April.

    In order to donate, donors must be feeling generally healthy, weigh at least 110 pounds and have not donated in the past eight weeks. Additional eligibility requirements are available online at inova.org/donateblood.

    There are still donation appointments available; potential donors can schedule an appointment at http://www.inovabloodsaves.org The e.ntire donation process takes around 75 minutes.
