Briar Woods High School senior Alex Carter will play for the U.S. Under-19 National Team in the third annual International Bowl Feb. 1 in Austin, Texas. Carter, a Stanford University commit, was one of 50 high school athletes selected for the team by USA Football.

The U.S. National Team will play the International Federation of American Football World Team in the game, which will be televised live on CBS Sports Network at 6 p.m.

Carter has already played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and was selected as the Gatorade Virginia Player of the Year in football after helping Briar Woods win a second consecutive Virginia Division 4 state championship in 2011.
